Science Fictions, Disabled Futures

2021         Science Fictions, Disabled Futures was a remote collaborative zine making workshop commissioned by DASH Disability Arts as part of their 2021 'Worlds Within Worlds' programme for 16-25yr olds.

What do we allow ourselves to want when the restrictions of reality are lifted? Through a series of writing and drawing prompts, each participant created a spread for this collaborative zine, imagining disabled-led science fictions using the zine making kit they each received in the post. This workshop acted as both an introduction to the social model of disability, and as a demystification of ways to circulate our ideas, dreams and desires as disabled people.
